Michael Galen

Michael Galen is an associate in Sacks Tierney’s bankruptcy and restructuring practice group.

Michael's experience encompasses chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganizations, restructurings, workouts, distressed M&A, corporate reorganizations and liquidations, distressed debt transactions, and other financial transactions. Michael represents companies, debtors, lenders, and secured and unsecured creditors in connection with all facets of such transactions and proceedings.

Michael earned his law degree at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he served as an editor for the Cardozo Journal of Conflict Resolution. Following law school, Michael clerked for the Honorable Nancy Hershey Lord of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York. Prior to joining Sacks Tierney, Michael was an associate in McDermott Will & Emery LLP’s New York office. While awaiting admission to practice in Arizona, Michael is admitted only in New York, and his practice is limited to federal law.
